Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Article Submissions Guidelines.

 

Prologue Published by Faculty of Letters, Balikpapan University. It is published twice a year, namely on February and August. It publishes papers in language, literature and cultural studies. The scopes of the topics include but not limited to (1) Literature; (2) Linguistics;; (3) Applied Linguistics, and; (4) Cultural Studies. Article to be submitted have never been published or never been submitted for consideration to be published elsewhere. 

Article Structure

Article should be no more than 25 A4 pages in length, typed in MS Word format, with a 1.5 space in Times New Roman 12 point font. The Abstract (maximum 200 words and contain no references) contains general introduction to the topic and summary of the main results, author also to include maximum three key words..

For the main body of the text, no explicit requirements for section organization, it will be authors’ preference, however, as a guideline; it is recommended that the structure of the article is organized as follows:

Research Report Article:

  • Introduction ( background, research objective and  research methodology)
  • Theoretical Review / Related Literature
  • Findings / Discussion
  • Conclusion / Recommendation / Suggestion
  • References (Resources cited in the text only)

Non-Research Article

  • Introduction
  • Body of the text (subtitles are determined by the author)
  • Conclusion
  • References (Resources cited in the text only)

For citing and referencing, the article should conform to APA (American Psychological Association) Style, 6th Edition.
